Teresina, Brazil. In 2014, I travelled to Toronto for a month and after experiencing its diverse culture, living "the big city" life, I fell in love and decided that I wanted to come back for good. So on August 14, 2016, I came back with a student visa and what comes next is history.
Fun Fact: Edmonton it's very similar to my town home in Brazil. Including the population size, bridge and the river dividing the city.
Fashion Design, but I identified better with Graphic Design after taking a class in Fashion Illustration using Corel Draw. I started practicing my graphic design skills while working at Visktar Contact Center as Marketing Coordinator where I had to create printed and digital marketing pieces.
Fun Fact: I almost went to school to become a pharmacist.
Was a personal website designed for Dr. Sapna Sriram, a chiropractor in Toronto who co-founded Integra Health.
Fun Fact: Because I was new to the UX/UI Design, it took me around four months to finish the project, even though the website is only one page.
Because I get to collaborate with others, empathize with the user, and enjoy the creative process while also understanding that creativity without empathy lacks purpose.
Fun Fact: I met my partner doing the UX/UI course at the University of Toronto.
Going for walks and saying "I love you" to every dog that passes by. I also like swimming, playing badminton (got some medals in the pocket), cooking, and watching TV shows and movies.
Fun Fact: I actually didn't like going for walks until I started dating my partner.
It's not only fun but I also get to appreciate its usability, its colours, and design. I also love to try to understand why each button or item was added to its location on the screen.
Fun Fact: The game that made me fall in love with design was "Toontown" from Disney.
